The proposed Whyte Yarcowie Wind Farm is located east, and south of the Whyte Yarcowie township and 190 km north of Adelaide in the northern Mount Lofty ranges of South Australia.
The project site has been chosen due to its high wind resource and location near existing transmission infrastructure.
Wind Prospect is undertaking environmental studies for the development of a wind farm with up to 83 wind turbines. It is anticipated that project assessment documentation will be publicly exhibited and referred to government agencies in the second quarter of 2025.
