We recognise the importance of building meaningful, lasting relationships with the communities where we develop our projects. We aim to be positive and responsible participants through respectful engagement and open dialog. Honest communication and a commitment to minimising impacts are the foundation of our success.

Respectful engagement with local communities is crucial for the success of our projects. Our Social Responsibility Policy commits us providing information to and seeking input from our stakeholders in a variety of ways so that anyone can find out about our projects and provide feedback.

Our engagement process is both proactive and reactive by design, and we tailor our approach to the needs of each individual community. We use a broad range of engagement tools and methods to engage with the local community including Traditional Owners.

Investing in the community

We are committed to giving back to communities, injecting new money into the local economy through job creation, supporting local business, providing financial support and sharing of financial benefits of the projects we create.

We provide funding for local community programs and initiatives through our project sponsorship programs as we develop our projects. We also commit to implementing a much larger and broader benefit program when a project starts construction and then throughout its operation. The program is developed with input from the community and is fully supported by our investment partners.

Clean Energy Council
Best Practice Charter

Wind Prospect is a signatory to the Clean Energy Council’s ‘Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Projects’. Via this charter, we have committed to honour a set of 10 commitments as we develop our projects. These commitments are made to everyone – communities, government, and our industry peers. We report to the Clean Energy Council annually on our performance against these commitments, which is then made available via their website.
