Landowner support is fundamental to the success of any renewable energy project. At Wind Prospect, we prioritise forming strong, long-term partnerships with host landowners, ensuring open, transparent, and consistent communication throughout the project.

Hosting wind farm infrastructure provides landowners with a stable, diversified income stream beyond traditional agricultural outputs. This additional revenue allows farmers to invest in their operations, improving resilience and efficiency. One of the most common benefits we hear from our host landowners is that wind farms help “drought-proof” their farms, providing financial security even in challenging conditions.
When developing a wind farm, we establish agreements with host landowners to host wind farm infrastructure on their land in exchange for ongoing rental payments over the life of the project—typically at least 25 years. These agreements outline the terms and conditions for land access, construction, operation, and maintenance of the wind farm.

From the outset, we work closely with landowners to understand their current and future farming operations, as well as any specific sensitivities or requirements. By involving landowners in the design process, we ensure that agricultural activities can continue alongside the wind farm, with local knowledge playing a crucial role in shaping the project.

Our experienced team specialises in integrating wind farms with existing farming operations. During the early design stages, we present a preliminary infrastructure layout and seek landowner input to refine the plan. As the project progresses, we collaborate to establish construction and operational protocols, ensuring land management issues are clearly understood, communicated, and effectively managed.
