The Mount Millar Wind Farm is situated near the town of Mount Millar, approximately 600 kilometers northwest of Adelaide, in the pastoral region of South Australia.

As one of Wind Prospect’s first wind farm developments, planning approval was granted in 2004. The project was constructed by Tarong Energy between 2004 and 2005 and became operational in 2006.
