The Bango Wind Farm is located near the towns of Yass and Boorowa in New South Wales. Feasibility and assessment investigations commenced in 2011 and the initial planning approval was granted in 2014, under the Part 3A application process. The initial project was developed as part of a joint venture with CWP (now Squadron Energy), which ended in 2016.

Subsequently, the project underwent modifications, including a reduction in the number of turbines. In May 2018, the New South Wales Independent Planning Commission approved a scaled-back version of the wind farm, granting consent for 46 turbines. Construction commenced in 2019, and the wind farm became fully operational in 2023.
