Euan Cameron

Euan Cameron

Non-executive chairman

Euan is the CEO and a founding shareholder of the Wind Prospect Group. Following a diverse career in the UK Civil Service, shipbuilding and oil and gas, he first became involved in renewable energy in 1992, financing and bringing on stream the second commercial wind farm in the UK. Euan went on to grow the Group into a multinational operation, its first overseas investment being in Australia in 2000. Over the last 25 years, the Group developed 86 projects (3.4GW) and constructed 148 (2.8GW). The Group’s focus is now the Australian market and Euan brings his 27 years of experience in renewables to the Board.

Director

Chris is a non-executive director of the Wind Prospect group of companies with a focus on commercial matters. With 40 years plus technical & commercial experience in the electricity supply industry in various senior roles (CEGB & PowerGen). Prior to joining Wind Prospect in 2003 he was General Manager of PowerGen Renewables group (now E.ON Climate & Renewables UK), establishing the UK’s first off-shore wind farms. He was the founding chairman of the World Energy Council’s Renewable Energy Committee, and a member of the UK Government’s Renewables Advisory Board, chairing the planning committee.

Ben Purcell

Ben Purcell

Managing Director

With a diverse background in the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector over 20 years, Ben leads the project development team.  His experience spans site finding, project planning and development, environmental impact assessment, stakeholder management and community engagement, system design, contract negotiation, investor relations, policy development and training.  Before joining Wind Prospect he developed a state wide energy efficiency policy for the South Australian government and worked with the Centre for Appropriate Technology, an NGO involved with improving the supply of energy to small, remote Aboriginal communities.

Louise McCormack

Louise McCormack

Financial Controller

Louise is the Financial Controller for Wind Prospect and is responsible for the delivery of our ancillary services such as accounting, reporting, human resources, information technology and insurance management.  Louise has been working in accounting for over 20 years, having completed a Bachelor of Business and Commerce (Accounting and Management) at Monash University and attained her Chartered Accounting qualification shortly thereafter.  She has worked across a wide range of industries and brings a wealth of knowledge to Wind Prospect.

Jay Knight

Jay Knight

Regional Development Manager

Jay brings a wide range of technical and management experience to Wind Prospect. As a qualified geologist, he started his career in mining and mineral exploration in South Australia before moving to Tasmania in the early 2000s. Working for the Tasmanian government-owned energy provider, Jay was drawn towards environmental impact assessment work for wind, solar, hydropower and transmission line projects. Since moving to Victoria in 2008, Jay has managed the approvals process for a number of major energy and transport projects at medium-large engineering consulting firms. He is now regional manager for Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

Michael Sale

Michael Sale

Regional Development Manager

As a regional development manager and senior project manager, Michael is responsible for the development of renewable energy developments with a focus on onshore wind farms. He is currently managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects at various stages of development. Michael brings more than 15 years’ experience delivering environmental assessments and regulatory approvals as a consultant for developments in the energy, mining, and infrastructure sectors across Australia and internationally. His areas of expertise encompass environmental impact assessment and management, project management and ecology.

As a member of the Wind and Solar farm development team Rory works on many aspects of project development including environmental impact assessment and stakeholder management. Having worked as a project manager in the sustainable energy sector in the UK for many years before moving to Australia, Rory has extensive project management and stakeholder engagement experience.

Passionate about driving the energy transition, Alex is responsible for managing front-end development activities including contract negotiation, project design, stakeholder engagement, environmental impact assessments, and development approvals. Prior to joining Wind Prospect, Alex held roles in operations engineering, maintenance, and project development across the energy and green hydrogen industries.

Having a background in Mechanical Engineering and a work history including wind energy construction, manufacturing engineering and energy efficiency auditing, Domenic has a range of technical skills at his disposal. As a Senior Development Engineer, Domenic has a technical role in the Wind Prospect team focused on project design, wind resource analysis and GIS support.

Pat Deveney

Development Manager

As a member of the Wind farm development team Patrick is involved right across the development of our projects including site finding, environmental impact assessments, stakeholder management and planning approvals. Prior to joining the team, Pat worked as a consultant in environmental management/planning and in the infrastructure sustainability space. He has worked on environmental impact assessments and planning approvals for several of Victoria’s wind farms currently under development.

Having a background in mechanical engineering, Bugra has project engineering and R&D experience in the design, analysis, and optimisation of thermal-fluid-energy systems. Bugra has a diverse skillset in design innovation, modelling and simulations, and testing and measurements. At Wind Prospect, he focuses on renewable energy project design, wind resource assessment and GIS support.

Sandra Anderson

Sandra Anderson

Office Manager

Sandra is the Office Manager for Wind Prospect and is responsible for providing administrative support to the development staff and the Financial Controller.  Her role involves maintaining OHS Standards, mail outs,  supplier reviews, confidentiality agreements, invoicing, organization of conferences and general maintenance of the office. Sandra brings a wide range of experience as she has previously worked in various industries including engineering, building, property maintenance, aviation and medical.

Max is an environmental scientist with four years of industry experience. His key strengths include environmental monitoring, project management, compliance reporting, data management and contamination and waste classification assessments within the environmental and waste sector. Max has extensive experience in environmental monitoring at a diverse range of sites and has worked as a project manager and field technician.

With over 7 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, Julien brings very concrete experience on wind and solar farms through Operations and Maintenance, Asset Management, and Construction roles in various countries. With an electrical engineering background, Julien recently acquired new skills regarding the technical aspect of development. Thus, he joined the team of development engineers at Wind Prospect and his focus is on project design, wind resource analysis and GIS support.

Christine has spent her diverse and extensive career working in rural communities across Australia in the agricultural, government, and energy sectors. As an independent consultant and project manager she has contributed to numerous successful programs spanning agronomy, irrigation, biosecurity, and farm management. For the last decade, Christine has worked in the energy sector alongside landowners and energy companies, focusing on negotiation of land access arrangements, and stakeholder engagement for wind farms, energy infrastructure, and coal seam gas. Christine is a member of the wind farm development team progressing a portfolio of projects in Queensland. Through clear, honest, open discussion, Christine’s philosophy is to achieve inclusion, empowerment, and ownership of all stakeholders.

After a 20-year career in people-focused industries, Salli returned to study at UNE in Armidale where she completed a Bachelor of Sustainability majoring in Community Engagement and Development. As a member of the wind farm development team, Salli’s role involves site finding, stakeholder engagement, and planning approval processes in New South Wales, with a particular focus on assisting landowners through the development process. She recognises the importance of building community resilience to environmental challenges and is passionate about ensuring all voices are heard and considered.

As a member of the wind farm development team, Brad’s role involves site finding, stakeholder engagement, and planning approval processes in New South Wales. Prior to joining the team, Brad gained experience as an environmental consultant, primarily involved in major road and rail infrastructure projects in Victoria. Brad has experience in delivering a wide range of environmental assessments, as well as occupational health and safety management.

Mikhaela is a civil engineer with 8 years of experience in major infrastructure design. She previously worked in the transport industry gaining valuable experience across design and project management, cost engineering, contract and tender documentation, and procurement both in Australia and the UK.

To pursue her interest in sustainability, Mikhaela made a career transition to the renewable energy sector. Mikhaela commenced working on hydropower projects, particularly the Pioneer-Burdekin scheme in Queensland. She was also involved in prospecting on viable sites and developing feasibility studies for both public and private sector clients. Now, at Wind Prospect, Mikhaela is responsible for overseeing the development of new wind farm projects in VIC, SA and WA.

With a deep passion for the natural world and a strong commitment to renewable energy, Lachlan has built a successful career in environmental sciences, bringing over five years of diverse experience across multiple sectors, including civil construction, energy, and not-for-profit organizations. This broad background has enabled Lachlan to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, from Federal and State Governments to Indigenous groups, ensuring that all projects meet both environmental and regulatory standards. His expertise includes project support, environmental management, compliance auditing, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis, with a focus on driving successful renewable energy initiatives.
