Wind Prospect has lodged an amended Planning Permit Application for the proposed Willatook Wind Farm with the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning (DTP). The application is now on public exhibition.
The amended application reflects a refined project design developed in response to the Minister for Planning’s Assessment of the Environment Effects Statement (EES), together with further engineering and environmental investigations.
Key refinements include:
- reducing the maximum number of wind turbines from 59 to 52;
- refining the turbine and associated infrastructure layout to respond to environmental constraints and updated technical assessments; and,
- refining the turbine design envelope.
The Willatook Wind Farm has been subject to an extensive assessment process over a number of years, including an Environment Effects Statement (EES), public exhibition and an independent Inquiry and Advisory Panel process. The amended application responds to the Minister for Planning’s recommendations and reflects the continued refinement of the Project.
The application and supporting technical reports are available on the Department of Transport and Planning website during the exhibition period. Community members and stakeholders are invited to review the application and make a submission.
